Is OpenAI dots available in your country? Plans, regions and platforms
Whether you can use dots depends on three things: your ChatGPT plan, where you are, and which device you use. Here’s the full picture at launch, with sources.

Dots in the UK, EU (EEA) and Switzerland
At launch, Pro users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK are not included. Business Premium users, on the other hand, get dots in all supported ChatGPT regions (OpenAI Help Center). OpenAI hasn’t said when Pro will follow in these countries.

Features with narrower availability
- Texting: a limited beta for Pro users in the US only, not available in Business or Enterprise workspaces, and not guaranteed for every Pro user (OpenAI Help Center).
- iMessage and RCS: Pro users can join a limited waitlist (OpenAI).
- Dedicated dots for organisations: in preview with a small number of enterprises (OpenAI).
Eligible but can’t see it? The rollout is gradual
OpenAI is rolling dots out gradually, and access may take several days to reach your account (OpenAI Help Center). If you’re on an eligible plan in an eligible region, the most likely explanation is simply that it hasn’t reached you yet. Work through our troubleshooting checklist to rule out the other causes.
Frequently asked questions
Is OpenAI dots available in the UK?
Not on the Pro plan at launch: Pro excludes the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. Business Premium is available in all supported ChatGPT regions, so UK Business Premium workspaces can use dots.
Is OpenAI dots available in the EU?
The same rule applies to the European Economic Area: Pro users there aren’t included at launch, while Business Premium users are.
When will dots come to Pro in the UK and Europe?
OpenAI hasn’t announced a date. We’ll update this page when it does.
Can I use a VPN to get OpenAI dots?
We don’t recommend it and don’t publish instructions for it. Regional availability is set by OpenAI, and getting around it can conflict with OpenAI’s terms and put your account at risk. Business Premium is the officially supported route in these regions.
Is dots available on iPhone and Android?
You can talk to your dot in the ChatGPT mobile app once mobile access reaches your account, but you can’t create a dot on a phone. Create it on desktop first.
Is dots available on Windows?
Yes. You can create a dot in the ChatGPT desktop app on Windows or Mac, or in ChatGPT in a desktop browser.
