OpenAI dots login and download: the official ways in

There’s no separate dots app or dots login. Dots lives inside ChatGPT, so you sign in with your normal ChatGPT account. This page only points to official entry points; we never ask for your credentials.

Where to log in

Sign in with the same account that has Pro, Business Premium or Enterprise. If you have both a personal and a work workspace, make sure you’re in the eligible one.

Download: is there a dots app?

No. Dots runs inside ChatGPT. To create a dot you need the ChatGPT desktop app (Mac or Windows) or ChatGPT in a desktop browser (OpenAI Help Center). Get the app from OpenAI’s official page: chatgpt.com/download (official site, opens in a new tab). The same page links to the official ChatGPT mobile apps, which you can use to talk to your dot after setting it up on desktop.

Signed in but can’t find dots?

  • Your plan isn’t eligible (Free and Plus aren’t included).
  • You’re on Pro in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK.
  • You’re on a phone: dots can only be created on desktop.
  • The gradual rollout hasn’t reached your account yet (it can take several days).
  • You’re on Enterprise and your admin hasn’t enabled the beta.

Avoid fake dots apps and sites

New AI products attract lookalike sites. A few simple rules:

  • Only enter your ChatGPT password on chatgpt.com or openai.com pages.
  • There is no standalone “dots” download; anything claiming to be one isn’t from OpenAI.
  • Be wary of anyone selling “dots access” or accounts.
